Common Copart Myths debunked:
Myth #1: Copart Has Hidden Fees
While an annual Membership fee is required in order to take advantage of all benefits, no other fees are hidden. Both new visitors to our website and Copart Members are encouraged to access our fees list at any time. It is important for Members to educate themselves on which fees are relevant to them in order to maximize their buying power. All invoices are due immediately and need to be paid via bank transfer into our bank account.
Myth #2: Copart Sells New Vehicles
Copart strives to ensure that buyers have all the information possible on a vehicle. We specialize in auctioning used and damaged vehicles. Each lot detail page has ten high-quality photos, and complete vehicle damage reports. We encourage Members to visit the lot details page for all information. We also welcome Members to visit vehicles in person at a Copart Germany location before placing their bid.
You can ensure you are making an informed buying decision by scheduling a vehicle inspection at any of our locations. Copart partners with several third-party vehicle inspectors or you may use your own preferred vendor. Copart inspects each vehicle upon arrival to our locations before it goes up for auction. While browsing vehicles online, look for “Run and Drive” within the vehicle specifications. Run and Drive means that Copart accurately classified the vehicle as drivable upon arrival.

1. Join Copart
To start bidding and buying with Copart, you must first become a Copart Member. Simply fill out the registration form and choose which membership level fits you best. Then submit all your documents, and pay the respective annual
Membership fee. Please note that you must have a registered business to become a Copart Germany Member.

2. Search Vehicles
Copart strives to ensure that buyers have all the information possible on a vehicle. We specialize in auctioning used and damaged vehicles. Each lot detail page has several high-quality photos and detailed information. We encourage Members to find what they need with Copart's Vehicle Finder. Choose from a large inventory online from the comfort of your home.

3. Add Vehicles To Watchlist
Copart's Watchlist feature gives you the easiest, most convenient way to monitor the lots that have your interest. By adding vehicles to your Watchlist, you can monitor all your vehicles in one place and keep track of the sale date, lot number, description, and the current bid.

4. Join Auctions
Weekly online live auctions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. You can place a pre-bid or join our online auctions. All upcoming car auctions can be found by using the Copart Auction Calendar. When you click on a particular day’s auction, you can sort the results to find specific vehicles by make, model year condition, and even price. Pay special attention to the damage (if applicable) and view the pictures so that you understand the condition of the vehicle on which you are bidding.

5. Place Bids
Copart Members can place preliminary bids, or pre-bids, prior to and during the live auction, as late as two minutes or two units before the vehicle appears on the block. When you pre-bid, you place an incremental value bid on the vehicle to the sale. Your pre-bid will be represented during the live auction and could be winning if no other bidder submits a higher bid during either the pre-bid phase or the live auction. Note that when there is a tie between pre-bid and live bid amounts, the virtual (live) bidder prevails as the highest bidder on the item. Watch the bids come in and compete against other Members to try and win. The highest bidder wins the right to buy the vehicle! When the bidding stops, the timer will circle to red, and the bidding is over.

6. Pay and Pick Up
Paying for and picking up your vehicles are important steps in the buying process. Within one day after the auction, you will get a confirmation e-mail about your won vehicle. You will find the invoice a short time later online in your Copart account. For a smooth transaction, review the information on Member Fees and Pricelist. Once all fees are paid in full, you will receive a pickup order and the contact data of our Copart yard. Please arrange a pickup date with our yard staff. Buyers have five business days including sale confirmation date to pick up their vehicles before Late Removal Fee begins accruing. The vehicle can only be picked up if accompanied by the pickup order and personal identification card. If you arrange for someone else to pick up the vehicle, please indicate this on the gate pass.

7. Delivery Service
On request, Copart will deliver vehicles (cars and motorcycles) up to a distance of 500 km from the respective vehicle location within Germany and to the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and all other countries bordering Germany up to 100 km from the border crossing.
